One-Day Trip To See Epcot’s Journey of Water (part 2)
My flight landed a few minutes early at 9:20, and I was off the plane and in my Uber by 9:45. I arrived at Epcot a little after 10:15, and after having a hold-up at the park security checkpoint, walked into the park around 10:30. I had taken my umbrella out of my bag and didn’t think there was anything else in there that would set off the metal detector, but… I guess I was wrong as I still had to have my bag searched. Unfortunately, I ended up in the bag check line of a security guard who was having a bad day. After unpacking everything from my full backpack (I had brought everything I needed for the day, including a change of clothes and any overnight stuff I might need, just in case I got rained on or my flight got canceled) I asked her what she thought might have set off my backpack. (Usually, the security guards will give people pointers on what to make sure is removed from their bags before walking through the metal detectors) but she just acted rudely and shrugged her shoulders. I know this isn’t the norm, so I just smiled and told her to have a nice day as repacked my bag and headed into Epcot. I was able to do the Journey or Water preview twice before heading over to ride Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, using the virtual queue return time I was able to snag from the plane this morning. After that, I stopped at the Creations Shop to pick up my Oswald Passholder magnet before making my way to the World Showcase to have lunch sampling things from some of the food and wine fest booths. For a detailed report on what I tried check out this post. After stopping to listen to a Bonny Tones in Germany, I headed to my favorite Pavillion, Morocco to grab a snack and relax for a while, before heading over to the UK to listen to Command Performance. Then I exited Epcot via the International Gateway for a ride on the Skyliner. Click here If you missed Part 1 or here for Part 3
