Beyond The Parks: Relaxing In The “Outside World” – Day 2
This morning we slept in a little bit, before having coffee on the balcony overlooking the lake. After we all got dressed, we decided to walk down to one of the little gift shops that is located right next to the resort. When we got back, we took a walk around the resort to check it out. There is a cute little nature trail down by the pool. It’s along a boardwalk and has several little gazebos with chairs to sit and relax in. It connects to another boardwalk/dock that is along the lake. Unfortunately, that part was closed for repairs, but it looks like it would be a nice place to sit along the water.
We fixed lunch in the room and then spent the afternoon by the pool.
After getting cleaned up, we took an Uber to Hollywood Studios so we could take a ride on the Skyliner. Mom and Dad are not buying theme park tickets this trip, so we are finding non-park things to do for the week. However, Marc and I may still slip into a park occasionally since we have Annual Passes because we can’t be that close to the “Magic Zone” and not enter it.
Once we got on the Skyliner we decided to stop at the Riviera Resort for a drink at my favorite pool bar, Bar Riva.
After drinks, we got back on the Skyliner and took it to the Epcot International Gateway Station. From there, we boarded a Friendship Boat to the Boardwalk for dinner. We ate at Big River Grille and Brewing Works then Ubered back to our resort to call it a night.
