Epcot’s Journey Of Water Inspired By Moana – Passholder Preview
I had an opportunity to attend the Passholder preview for Journey of Water on Sept 26th. This new walk-through attraction is a fun, interactive, self-guided tour of the cycle of water. The theming is lush and beautiful and once inside, except for a few spots where Spaceship Earth is visible, you don’t feel like you are in Epcot anymore.
As you enter, you are immersed in a water wonderland, full of fun interactive features. There are plenty of chances to get wet along the way, but there is also a dry path for those who want to choose that option. As you walk along the trail you will enter several different sections – Rain, Stream, Wetland, Spring, Land, River, Ocean, and Sky. Each section not only educates you on that particular part of the water cycle but also gives you a chance to interact with the playful and whimsical water experiences.
For example, in the Rain section guests can run their hands through strings of water to play a song, in the Stream Section, you can make the water dance by waving your arms around, and in the Land Section, you can walk through a waterfall! These are just a few of the interactive features you will encounter along your journey.
Another cool feature is all the different shapes hidden in the rocks. Make sure to take plenty of time to explore and find as many as you can!
One of the most beautiful features you come across is the giant Te Fiti.
This new attraction, which is located in the World Nature neighborhood of Epcot is scheduled to officially open on October 16th, 2023, but if you are in the parks right now, Disney is holding a soft opening. So check your My Disney Experience app for more details.
