A little over two weeks ago, I received an email announcing the dates for the DVC and Annual Passholder Preview of Journey of Water at Epcot. The same day, I received an email for flights starting at $50 (each way) on Spirit Airlines from Kansas City, so I got a bright idea to see what was available. I have seen multiple posts and videos of people who have taken day trips to Disney…flying in early in the morning and back home the same day, and have always wanted to try it, if I could find flight times that would allow almost a full day there. I was able to achieve that by booking a direct early flight from KC (leaving at 5:45 am..arriving at 9:30 am) and the latest flight of the night back out of Orlando (leaving at 10 pm…arriving at Midnight). That will leave me with around 9-10 hours in the park that day. I’ve never flown Spirit Airlines, as I am strictly a Southwest girl, so that will also be a new experience. I will Uber directly to Epcot and then back to the airport at the end of the day. My only must-dos of the day are to preview Journey of Water and to pick up my Oswald Passholder Magnet. Once those two things are accomplished, who knows where the day will take me? I also plan on videoing the trip and will post videos of my day once I get home, so make sure to follow me on my social media links above so you don’t miss out on footage from my epic one-day trip!

My flight landed a few minutes early at 9:20, and I was off the plane and in my Uber by 9:45. I arrived at Epcot a little after 10:15, and after having a hold-up at the park security checkpoint, walked into the park around 10:30. I had taken my umbrella out of my bag and…
Epcot’s Journey Of Water Inspired By Moana – Passholder Preview
I had an opportunity to attend the Passholder preview for Journey of Water on Sept 26th. This new walk-through attraction is a fun, interactive, self-guided tour of the cycle of water. The theming is lush and beautiful and once inside, except for a few spots where Spaceship Earth is visible, you don’t feel like you…
One-Day Trip To See Epcot’s Journey Of Water (The End)
Around 4 p.m. I decided that I had seen enough of Epcot for the day, so I exited through the International Gateway, which is located between France and United Kingdom. I decided to take a ride on the Skyliner and ended up getting off at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Once there I headed to one of…
One-Day Trip To See Epcot’s Journey Of Water (Part 1)
My one-day adventure is officially underway! I was up at 3 a.m., got on the airport shuttle at 3:40, and was through security by 3:56. I probably could have taken the 4 a.m. shuttle, but this was the first time flying out of the new terminal here in Kansas City, and on Spirit airlines, so…
